This site is mainly for preschool and kindergarten kids and teaches phonics. It really captures the kids attention and rewards them with "Good Job" stars. I found that my daughter loved to use this site on her own. It gave her a sense of "I am a big girl" too. We may be too busy to keep going over the same phonics page over and over again but starfall does a great job of keeping the kid interested as they learn.
