There are several SAT preparation resources. I am planning to research these over time and share my thoughts.
Two of the common preparations courses seem to be EXCEL and ELITE. Both of these have been around for some time. Most kids take these courses over summer. However, a lot depends on the kids ability to focus and practice. These are usually 6 to 8 weeks long and mostly taught to a group of students. A lot depends on the students own hard work, these courses are primarily to ensure the kids practice regularly.

A couple of features in addition to the standard courses
- EXCEL has a program where by you can take unlimited tests for three to four years. They do not teach however will grade the answer sheet and allow you to review the correct answers.
- ELITE has a 2100 level which is a more advanced class. You need to ensure that your child can score 2100 or above in the initial assessment, so practice ahead of time.
